Working with the country’s biggest names
Studying at ASI taught me that the fashion industry is not as scary as it seems. The team has a plethora of expertise and quite literally as warm as a family, so learning from them helps break down that wall. The support and mentoring is there for the taking, and for me, I owe a lot of my confidence to that. Since graduating I have worked on campaigns with brands I could never have imagined including Tony Bianco, Off-White, Lovisa, Lush and Asilio as well as with 80 Collins shooting looks with YSL, Golden Goose, Wardrobe NYC, Mulberry, Georg Jensen and Sener Besim. Other opportunities have included working as a David Jones Personal Shopper and Myer Fashion on the Field ‘Style Spotter’ with a Network 10 segment on racing style.

From engineer to 156K followers
10 years ago, I started my blog and Instagram account ‘Trash to Treasured’, to assist women in finding stylish clothing at bargain prices. That’s when I decided to study with ASI. As a stylist, I love being able to take the pressure out of a stressful shopping experience and see my clients use the tools I’ve learned to simplify the shopping process.

Focused on a sustainable future
ASI’s ongoing support has given me the confidence to grow my business and establish myself as a sustainable style expert. I have presented talks and workshops for various councils and businesses, consulted with both female and male clients, organised a runway for VAMFF, and been a guest speaker for ABC radio.

Personal styling one day, editorial the next
Studying with ASI provided me with relevant styling systems and the confidence to turn my dream into a business. The psychology behind style is a standout component of the courses – after all, styling is more than just putting clothes on a client! Within 5 months of starting with ASI, I have worked as a Women’s Personal Stylist (both in-person and virtually), assisted Fashion Editors and Stylists for Adelaide’s major publications and assisted backstage dressing at VAMFF.

Not just clients, it’s about community
I was drawn to ASI for their great reputation and style of training which allowed me to continue to work full-time in my corporate job, whilst fast tracking to become a stylist. Within 12 months of studying with ASI I have become an in-store and shopping centre stylist. I have also done assistant dressing for the Brownlow and provide freelance styling services, which have been featured on a mag cover.

Healing with fashion
I started with ASI in March 2023, and have since have been interviewed on podcasts and hosted styling events. My brand has grown since the launch of my website and wardrobe essentials ebook, which has also led to my social media audience growing. This platform has enabled me to create content for Australian brands, go viral, launch my blog and newsletters to my database and secure paying clients! I have found my passion and I feel like I am making a difference in people’s lives. Reading my reviews on Google brings me joy and it sometimes feels surreal.

From mum to award winner
After throwing myself into my studies and thriving with the additional knowledge to support my background in fashion design, beauty therapy and fashion influencing I have quickly built a flourishing Personal Styling business that is already seeing repeat clients. Recently I worked with Australian swimming legend, Leisel Jones, and it was such an honour to help her rediscover her love for getting dressed each day. Helping women feel amazing in themselves is the most rewarding experience.
